Kasauli (Himachal Pradesh, Himalayan State)
Kasauli is situated at a height of 1927 metre above sea level. The scenic charm of this calm and secluded small town of Kasauli is spectacular. One can view the peak of Choor Chandini (3647 metre above sea level) of the Himalayan mountain ranges to the north and Chandigarh to the south from the peaks of Kasauli. Running along its length are its two main roads, the Upper and Lower Malls. There are many worth visiting places in and around Kasauli.
Monkey Top (4 kms from Kassauli) is a favourite spot to view the marvelous scenery of mountains, green valley and riverscape of Sutlej. Central Research Institute, Mall Road, Baba Balak Nath temple, Shirdi Sai Baba temple are the other places of tourist attractions. Nearby Sanawar (5 kms from Kasauli) has 150 years old Lawrence Public School, church, Shahid Smarak (Martyre's Memorial) along with solar operated swimming pool which is famous in whole Asia.
