Jalandhar (Punjab)
Jalandhar is the most ancient city, which is famous for sport industry, steel and revolling mills, electric goods, automobile parts, sewing machine factories and handicrafts. Jalandhar is the birthplace of many patriots. In the memory of martyrs, a memorial hall was built here.
Noormahal : 37 km away from Jalandhar and 13 km from Nakodar, is a small town, where Jahangir's renowned queen Noor Jahan was got constructed Noor Mahal inn.
Shahid Bhagat Singh Memorial : at HusainiWala named place in Ferozpur, wherein, martyrs Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev, who were executed by British Government on 23 March 1931, were cremated stealthy in the night here. Every year on 23 March, a big fair is held here to pay homage to them.
Shri Hargobindpur :38 km away towards south of Gurudaspur, was got established by Guru ArjunDevji. In 1621 here Guru Hargobind defeated Mughal army led by military Commander Abdulla of Jalandhar in a severe battle. When Guru Sahib took rest during the battle, there a Sikh temple (Gurudwara) named Damdama sahib was got constructed.
