Pauri (Uttarakhand)
Lying in the lap of Himalayas, Garhwal region has been divided in two parts- Tihri Garhwal and Pauri Garhwal. Abounding in divine grace, Pauri city is a beautiful resting place, full of greenery due to abundant oak and pine trees.
At the time of Sun-rise and Sun-Set, enchanting scenery of Trishul, HathiParvat, Neelkanth, Kamling, Chaukhamba, Sumer Parvat, Kharchakund, Kedarnath, Bhrigupanth, Jaunali, Gangotri group, Bhagirathi Valley, Bandarpoonchh, Swarga Rohini along with many snow-covered peaks can be seen.
Khirsu - A closer view of Himalayas can be seen from here. Eco-friendly Camps are organized here once in a year by Uttaranchal Forest Development Corporation.
In addition to these, Srinagar, Kandoliya, Shiv Temple , Nag Devta are some other places worth visiting.
