Situated in the lap of nature, Sonanadi is in Pauri- Garhwal, 45 km from Kotdwar. It is located on the western bank of Ramganga river. It has all the specialities of Corbett National Park. Coming up of reservoir on Ramganga river has resulted in abundance of elephants. In the dense forest of rose-wood trees, rare eagle fish, 250 species of birds, wild cats, bears, wild pigs and boars, deer, reindeers, crocodiles etc are found.
Kalagarh, about 50 km away from Sonanadi, attracts local and migratory birds because of dam on Ramganga river. Red wild cocks, fouls, peacocks, red-headed cranes, kingfishers are some of the birds and animals that can be seen here.
