Mrugavani National Park
Hyderabad is blessed with several national parks within and around. Mrugavani National Park is also one of them. Located about 25 kms from Hyderabad, Mrugavani National Park was declared as wildlife sanctuary in 1978 and has now emerged as hot tourist attractions in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. Mrugavani National Park is covered with teak, sandalwood and bamboo, as well as many varieties of shrubs and herbs, woodlands and grasslands. Mrugavani National Park is home to animals like Indian hare, forest cat, civet, Indian rat snake, Russell's viper and chital. There are over 100 species of birds, including warblers, peacocks, grey partridge, quail, lapwings and flower peckers and myriads of butterflies.
